Jesus' love

“want some candy?”
“What’s that?”
“free candy?” he asked
with a far-off stare.
I could tell he was a bit
oFf
so I said “sure.”
A bundle of paper
and cellophane wrapper
was pressed into my palm.

Have you accepted the Lord Jesus Christ?

it asked me.

This candy is like Jesus’ love.
Free and for everyone.

I unfolded the paper to reveal
a world of interpretation.

Woman brought about sin and death.
We are all terrible people because of it.
You cannot exacpe sin.
The only way to the Light is through Jesus.
Jesus is the only thing that can save you.
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.

Jesus, I thought.
